Synopsis
Andrew Rally seems to have it all: a successful television career, a beautiful girlfriend, and the chance to play Hamlet in New York. There is just one problem. He hates Hamlet.
When Andrew moves into the former apartment of legendary actor John Barrymore, a séance brings Barrymore’s ghost back for an unexpected return engagement. Soon Andrew finds himself receiving acting lessons, romantic advice, and plenty of unwanted opinions from one of the stage’s most famous performers.
Paul Rudnick’s I Hate Hamlet is a witty, theatrical comedy about fame, fear, love, and the difference between simply performing a role and truly taking a chance.
