Synopsis
Scottie Templeton is a fifty-one-year-old entertainer who loves life. As you would expect, Scottie’s personality attracts everyone and most everyone loves him, with the exception of his son, Jud. If Jud was not the perfect son, Scottie certainly was not the perfect father, which has resulted in estrangement. Complicating matters is the fact that Scottie has been diagnosed with terminal cancer, sparking a desire to reconcile with Jud. The play explores the many faceted friendships Scottie has forged with some unusual characters and ends with Jud embracing his father’s faults and organizing a tribute in his honor.
