Dennis Loy

Vice Chairperson

Dennis Loy has been immersed in theatre since his high school days, making it a lifelong passion that led him to Tellico Village, drawn in by its thriving community theatre scene. Since joining the Tellico Community Players Board in 2019, he has served in multiple roles, including as the last "President" before the board modernized its leadership structure. Now, as Vice Chair and facilities manager, Dennis is dedicated to enhancing the theatre’s physical space to match the excellence of its performances.

A gifted director, Dennis has helmed numerous productions, finding deep joy in staging musicals like Church Basement Ladies and Honky Tonk Angels, as well as thought-provoking plays such as Wait Until Dark, Outside Mullingar, and Suite Surrender. His lifelong love for music remains a defining force in his life, as both a choral enthusiast and a conductor.

Beyond theatre, Dennis embraces his "young at heart" spirit—quite literally, as a Leap Day baby who proudly claims his 18 ¼ years of youthfulness. His ultimate goal? To create entertainment that allows audiences to escape, laugh, and feel connected to the magic of live performance.
